Dental x-ray

It is indispensable in every field of dentistry. It helps to identify dental caries, periapical changes, and bone atrophies. This facility lets us monitor the root canal treatment and check whether it is going right. It is irreplaceable in surgery, periodontology, and implantology.
The dentalmed clinic is equipped with two x-ray facilities: KODAK RTG 2200, Planmeca Intra.

These are x-ray appliances for taking intraoral radiographs, featuring a high-frequency generator which eliminates soft radiation, which is useless in diagnostics, but absorbed by the patient. As a result, the patient-absorbed radiation dose is reduced by 30%. The appliance has the option of taking fixed-point photographs, occlusal radiographs, bitewing radiographs in any technique (parallel, right-angle, semi-angle).

Radiovisiography KODAK RVG 5100

This is a diagnostic appliance replacing conventional film radiography. Thanks to the application of the most recent technological solutions, it was possible to decrease the radiation dose in intraoral radiographs by as much as 90%. As a result, a patient can have a few radiographs taken during one procedure with a lower radiation dose, which has special implications in implantology and root canal treatment. It takes only two seconds for a radiograph image to be displayed on the monitor screen. An image of the teeth, which is enlarged by several dozen times, is much more comprehensible and clear both to the dentist and the patient, especially if we compare it to a radiographic plate sized 3 x 2 cm.

Autoclave Sterilclave 18B

This appliance is designed for sterilizing dental instruments with hot water steam under large pressure. By applying this method, it is possible to kill all bacteria, fungi, viruses and prions. The whole process is monitored by computer. This autoclave is classified as an appliance of top B class, which exceeds the sterilization requirements that are set for dental surgeries.

Sterilization stages:

Preliminary disinfection of instruments in an antibacterial liquid.
Washing instruments in an ultrasonic cleaner.
Wrapping instruments in special foils, which are then closed with a welder
Sterilization in the top quality Sterilclave 18B autoclave

Pentamix

This appliance automatically mixes and doses impression materials, thus producing accurate impressions. 3M ESPE Pentamix provides homogenous impressions which are free from air-bladders. Such impressions cannot be obtained if impression materials are mixed manually.

VITA Easyshade®

This is a spectrophotometric device which precisely selects shades for natural and whitened teeth. It is also designed to verify shade in a wide range of prosthetic restorations. The device uses the D65 (6500°k) illuminant for shade matching, which is similar to average daylight in the northern hemisphere. The Easyshade device has a patented probe structure which makes it possible to take measurements regardless of the kind of lighting (daylight and artificial light).

3M ESPE Elipar FreeLight 2

This is a highly efficient cordless diode polymerization lamp. The intensity of light is close to 1000 mW/cm² provides the same polymerization effects as conventional halogen lamps in half the time. Thanks to this lamp, dental appointments can be shorter, which is especially important in the treatment of children.
